Experience Big Data in VR with “Feature Space Diver by DEEPstation” Debuting at Tokyo Big Sight
UEI Corporation (President and CEO: Ryo Shimizu; Headquarters: Yushima, Tokyo) is pleased to debut Feature Space Diver by DEEPstation, a sophisticated deep learning-based method of mapping big data in space with VR, and the AI World event to be held from June 29 through July 1 at Tokyo Big Sight.
As the name suggests, Feature Space Diver is designed to allow users to “dive” into a sea of data. Previously visualizes of data realized on a 2D screen even for 3D mapping. By utilizing AI and VR, Feature Space Diver gives users a much more tactical and intuitive way of understanding complex data. Users do not merely “see” data in Feature Space Diver, but can walk through it, adjust its scale, and look at it from a variety of literal angles.
The data featured at this event is MNIST, a series of 60,000 handwritten numbers from 0 to 9. Within the VR space users can fine-tune and differentiate this data and experience animation of the results.
In order to analyze the data, UEI used the DEEPstation DK-1 Expert Edition (co-developed with Thirdwave Diginnos Co., Ltd.). The DEEPstation DK-1 Basic Edition will be featured for the VR demonstration. DEEPstation was co-developed with Sony Computer Science Laboratories, Inc.
UEI is offering this demonstration free of charge. Check out a sample video:
